What has happened to this year? Last I looked, it was New Years Eve 2008-2009. Now, it's Thanksgiving 2009... I'm 21, and nothing is the same as last year... at all.
The only thing I can count on in my life is my friends. To them, I am eternally grateful. They are always there for me, no matter what. Thank you!

Spring break is already over, and I wish it wouldn't go. I like not having to wake up until 10:30, being able to do whatever I want all day long, and not doing work.
I haven't done anything this week. I so far have gone to band practice 3 times, adventured to Good Will with Katie, and spent a day in Milwaukee with Megan and Paula. Pretty low key, pretty boring. Sometimes, I wish life was always like this.
But mostly, I love the fast-paced style of school life. I love not sleeping, the endless amount of work - none of which is ever related, and the gratuitous amounts of caffeine needed to keep me awake. Despite how much I will protest my disdain of school, standardized learning, and my dislike for terrible classes and teachers, I love the feeling of complete exhaustion that persists for weeks at a time.
Only 6 weeks of school left, finals week, one week of "break", and then I'm off to Kansas City to intern at Cerner. I'm completely ready for Missouri.

Last night, Megan and I went to see Anberlin at the Rave in Milwaukee. Righteous show! The opening bands were a different story.
Between the Trees
A band from Orlando, FL. Vocals were decent, guitar guy was pretty good. I did notice that he did not rush up to the front of the stage for solos... bit disappointing. The keyboard player looked girly, with his long, emo hair and his feminine face. The drummer kept playing the same basic beat... lame.
Grade: C+
Medina Lake
One of those bands that makes you think "How the hell did you make it big?". From Chicago, this band sounded like a high school scremo band. The only noteworthy part was their crowd presence. They did an amazing job getting the crowd involved, even the non-preteen people present (few and far between).
Grade: D
Anberlin
By far the best band there! They opened with "Disappear" from their new album New Surrender. The show heavily drew from their 2007 album Cities. Amazing show!
Grade: A+
P.S. Megan and I saw Anberlin at Starbucks© before the show. Lead singer drinks iced mocha latte, with soy and no whip :-p

So today I finally decided that I wanted to buy the new iPhone... I mean, I don't need it but I wanted it. So I basically ran down to the Apple Store at 12 when they opened, only to find out that they were fresh out. Bummed, I walked home and pouted for a little. Then I decided to go to the AT&&T Store to reserve one. Brian, Matt, and I followed Magellan's directions to the wrong store for about 45 minutes before we finally got there. After much ado about trying to get to my family plan (since mom's the admin on the plan, we had to call her), I found out that I'm not eligible for a new iPhone for about 20 more months *rolls eyes* oh well...

Wow... what a summer it's been. The running group I've joined is a hoot. The guys are awesome, and they're pushing me to get better. Last Friday was the NWI Legends 2 mile. Fun race that was! 10:07

These last few weeks of the track season (and of school for that matter) have flown by sooo fast... too fast. Advancing to Regionals made me happier than I have been in a long time - almost to the point of being ecstatic. But after a disappointing regionals 1600, I sunk down to a low that I hadn't been to since cross didn't make it to state. Thursday and Friday were rough, real rough. The realization that I no longer run for CPHS, for my friends and teammates, struck me with a sense of intense sadness. I know life changes, but I never wanted the bliss of my distance family to end. To those guys - especially Feder, Logan, and Kolavo - I owe a big thank you. Without them, this year would not have been good. I will truly miss all the distance guys, but I know that life goes on.

So I've decided to make it my new goal to post on this thing as often as possible.
Hmmm... what to tell first... well, the XC team didn't make it to state this year, but Logan did. The Footlocker race was fun. I season PR'ed... kinda sad.
Now, I'm finally able to relax after today's Calculus test is over. Exhaustion has been my latest craze.
I got accepted to Purdue for Computer Science, and I'm completely stoked and totally ready to get away from CPHS. My time and energy is just not worth the classes that I'll probably never need in life.
Well, now that my rant's over I need to go refuel my batteries with a nice long 7-hour sleep.

As I walked around after Regionals on Saturday(gettin 16th and missing a ribbon by one stinks btw), I started realizing that it's almost over; the races, the adrenaline rush, the rewards from months and years of hard work. Lemon Lake is over now, a part of the season I looked forward to every season. Now all that's left is Semi-state and possibly state.. it's almost over... :(

So last tuesday was xc's first meet... and I'm choosing to leave it at that, as I ran horribly.
Then school started on Thursday, and I have been pretty bored... hopefully it'll stay this way.
Then the xc team went down to Noblesville for the Warren Central Hokem Karem. Logan and I got 18th with a 30:59, and Kolavo and Viggy were close behind.
Total miles since June 5th: 888.5

So today coach had us start with a 6 mile warm up. Then we ran 12 - 400's... definately a suprise... wasn't too bad until the end (Shenzhen blew by me on the last one).
At afternoon, we're doin a push-up route to coach's house, and then jumping in his pool (refreshing like no other)! Then after practice, I need 2 more miles for the day... woo for 105 mile week.

Last night was the Sectional meet for track, and man did we do well. We got 7 people to regionals. Steve got out in the mile and 2 mile, both of which he won. He also set the Sectional record in the 2 mile with a 9:32!
The 4x800 relay team got to Regionals with a 3rd place scramble to the finish. Jeff to Phil to me to Steve. What a day... 6 days and counting til Regionals '06!!!

wow... it's been a fast month and lots of things have happened. First, on Oct 29th, the team took 8th place at state, and Steve was 9th overall!!! On the 3rd, I turned 17 :D! Then, I got named to the IATCCC(Indiana association of track and cross country coaches) Honorable Mention All-State for cross country! Then, just last Saturday, I went and saw the Always Awesome Styx @ the Star Plaza Theatre. On that same day, Steve ran the All-Star meet on the Indiana team and finished 2nd for IN and 24th overall! And today is Chris May's b-day. Thursday is turkey day. Saturday is the Nike Footlocker race in Wisconson UGH...WISCONSON. Thats all for now.

Sectional Champs & Regional Runner-ups
Ah... good old cross country... what would I ever do with myself if I didn't run like it was my job? Semi-state is saturday, and I'm nervous as heck. The teams are so close that we could be anywhere from 1st to 6th, with 5 teams advancing.
In other news, Fall Break is Thursday, and I'm excited (except for the two tests tomorrow :( ).
With my 4 day weekend, I plan to make loads of changes to the site, so make sure to check in soon!
Ok, I'm off to study for these godforsaken tests.

Yesterday, the team traveled to Lansing, IL for the Rebel Invitational. The girls JV team got 4th and were lead by Maggie and Amanda Kolak. The guys JV team got 1st and were lead by Logan Koch and Joe Kolavo. The girls Varsity team got 3rd and were lead by Katie Riley and Alex Argus. And finally, the guys Varsity got 2nd and were lead by Stephen Hein and Dustin Miller with me 2 seconds behind. Great job! :D

Today was a long day! First, I woke up 45 minutes late for my run... whoops. Then, I went to San Jose State University. That was alright. Now I desire food so I’m gunna leave this as is for now. I may try to add pictures if I get free time tomorrow!

Hey I’m in the computer lab and this place is amazing! There’s about 1600 students here, and 4 or 5 computer labs. Yesterday we listened to Jaron Lanier, a very smart “founder” of virtual reality. He encouraged us to be weird :p Today we are divided into different groups and visit different companies. Ok time for breakfast!
